Got this from somewhere else on the internet
1. Secret Law
https://privacysos.org/blog/federal-...of-secret-law/One of the hallmarks of authoritarian governments is secret law. When subjects don’t know how their government interprets laws shaping state power, it’s easy for officials to do lots of shady things in the dark. That’s especially true with respect to surveillance law—spying is meant to be secret, after all, and more often than not stays that way.
Unfortunately, a federal court in DC has sided with the Obama DOJ on the subject of secret law, ruling that a legal memo describing the FBI’s surveillance powers can remain secret from the public.

6. Domestic law authorizing government propaganda targeting US citizens.

7. Domestic law authorizing the indefinite detention of suspects without trial.
Despite his promises to end the war, President Obama has continued to expand his presidential powers in the War on Terror, which are legal executive privileges that began in the Bush administration. The key difference is that Obama's authority seems to be more ambiguous, more powerful, and less defined than in the previous administrations.
One such power is granted under the NDAA's section 1021 and 1022, which contain the provisions that allow the president to indefinitely detain a terrorist suspect without a trial.

This is what you liberals get. This is what happens when you are pro-government and happily cede more freedoms and personal liberties away. This is what happens when you are obsessed with making sure your guy in the executive branch has all the power in the world. You have stood by and had the office get bloated with power because your guy was in charge. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Wake up, sometimes you'll lose elections. If you don't want to have Trump doing the things you are right now disliking, consider in the future taking power AWAY from government, AWAY from our institutions, and shrinking governments influence. You've been feeding a monster and now you are distressed that the monster has awoken. You have no one but yourselves to blame.

President Obama's Gifts to Trump
The Power to Kill U.S. Citizens without due process

This in turn is a gift President Obama received from President Bush.
#3 is overstated. If a US citizen is in America and/or not on a foreign battlefield fighting Americans, then the POTUS can't order a hit on them.
