Default 'The FBI is Trumpland': anti-Clinton atmosphere spurred leaks, sources say

Deep antipathy to Hillary Clinton exists within the FBI, multiple bureau sources have told the Guardian, spurring a rapid series of leaks damaging to her campaign just days before the election. Current and former FBI officials, none of whom were willing or cleared to speak on the record, have described a chaotic internal climate that resulted from outrage over director James Comey’s July decision not to recommend an indictment over Clinton’s maintenance of a private email server on which classified information transited.

“The FBI is Trumpland,” said one current agent. This atmosphere raises major questions about how Comey and the bureau he is slated to run for the next seven years can work with Clinton should she win the White House.

The currently serving FBI agent said Clinton is “the antichrist personified to a large swath of FBI personnel,” and that “the reason why they’re leaking is they’re pro-Trump.”

The agent called the bureau “Trumplandia,” with some colleagues openly discussing voting for a GOP nominee who has garnered unprecedented condemnation from the party’s national security wing and who has pledged to jail Clinton if elected...

Sources who disputed the depth of Trump’s internal support agreed that the FBI is now in parlous political territory. Justice department officials – another current target of FBI dissatisfaction – have said the bureau disregarded longstanding rules against perceived or actual electoral interference when Comey wrote to Congress to say it was reviewing newly discovered emails relating to Clinton’s personal server.

A significant complication is the appearance of a conflict of interest regarding Loretta Lynch, the attorney general, who met with Bill Clinton this summer ahead of Comey’s announcement, which she acknowledged had “cast a shadow” over the inquiry.

“Many FBI agents were upset at the director, not because he didn’t [recommend to] indict, but they believe he threw the FBI under the bus by taking the heat away from DOJ [Department of Justice],”
    the former bureau official said

Kind of odd, the only leaks that have been proven to come from the FBI were FBI Clinton supporters leaking information to the Clinton campaign.....everytime the FBI found something of importance, the Clinton Campaign was given a secret heads up from someone in the FBI....
Maybe thats who this "secret unnamed source of yours is".....certainly know that well over 90% of State Dept. employees gave to the Clinton election campaign.....its been reported for a week now that the rank and file FBI agents were pissed about Comey's not charging Clinton for obvious crimes associated with the email sandal....and the State Dept. was hampering them from investigation the Clinton foundation...

Let me know when this (sic)"secret agent" decides to come forward with his story....Loretta Lynch will probably give him a promotion and a big raise....
    Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.

You can be against Clinton and not support Trump, dummy.

Anybody who has a career with the FBI knows the presidency can change every four years to someone they hate. It goes with the job. If these people are so exercised by it, they should look for a different line of work.

"The manner in which Comey, the F.B.I. director, revealed last week that his agency was seeking to review additional e-mails in connection with the Clinton e-mail-server investigation was unforgivable. He provided no warning, background briefings to the press, or additional information about the content of the e-mails in question. And his actions have undoubtedly had an effect on the Presidential race.

...Some of Clinton’s defenders blame the media for this. News outlets, they say, treat her minor transgressions, or alleged transgressions, in the same way they treat outright demagoguery, mendacity, and grotesquery on Trump’s part. This is another argument that needs some context. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has accused Clinton of operating a fraudulent business that bilked tens of thousands of dollars from people on modest incomes, stiffing tradespeople on a routine basis, making a mockery of the tax laws and not paying a cent of income tax for twenty years, boasting about charitable giving while not donating any of her own cash, or sexually assaulting women. Who brought these stories to the public’s attention? The news media. During the Republican primaries, some outlets, particularly on television, indulged Trump shamefully, while using him as a ratings booster."
