Default Economics: are Democrats better for the U.S. economy than Republicans?

Economics: are Democrats better for the U.S. economy than Republicans?

In the past quarter century we've had both Republican & Democrat presidents.

Ronald Reagan, the Republican demigod had a standard which he asserted in his closing statement after debating President Carter.

    "Are you better off ...?"

If you assert that is no longer the Republican standard, what standard do you claim has replaced it?

U.S. President Clinton (male) presided over what has been widely reported as the most sustained duration of prosperity in U.S. history.
Governor Bush (R-TX) took over at the tail end of that Clinton peace & prosperity, and after 8 years left U.S. at War, having suffered the worst terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland in U.S. history, and in the worst economic recession since the Great Depression.

    SO !!

The Reagan standard, the Republican gold standard is: was there net improvement.

Over the past quarter century, with Republicans? Not so much.

But look at how the U.S. economy has thrived under President Obama.
“... Reince Priebus, the Republican National Chairman today said that 300K jobs ... aught to be expected every month ... and just a historical perspective:
    - during the 8 years of President Bush (younger) there were 2.1 million net jobs created in the United States. Of the 2.1 million, 1.8 million of them were in the public sector ... that means there were 300,000 jobs in the private sector in 8 months, in 8 years rather, net ...
more jobs have been created in the United States in the last 4 years than in Europe, Japan, all the industrialized modern world combined. ...
70 years since WWII. 36 years of Republican presidents, 34 years of Democratic presidents. In those 70 years, there were 36.7 million jobs created under Republican presidents ... a little over half the time. In 34 years there were 63.7 million created by Democrats. That's 29 million more. You know, perhaps it's an accident once, or twice or what. But I mean at some point the Democrats ought to be comfort in the fact that they have been better the economy and job creation than have been the opposition.
    ...
It's 15 years since we've had 10 consecutive months of over 200,000 [job growth]. Just 15 years ago there was a fella from Arkansas ... there were more jobs created in Bill Clinton's 8 years than there were in Ronald Reagan's 8 years, and the 12 years of both Bush's combined. I mean 6 million more jobs created in those 8 years, ... policy does kick in, & is reflected in the results.” Mark Shields
    So you tell me.

Are Republicans better for the U.S. economy than Democrats TODAY?

I survived the Carter years, wild-ass inflation, growth of terrorism in the mideast, gas lines. Then I saw Reagan's policies improve, then sustain, a long period of robust economic growth and respect from the countries that hate us the most. Once again we are in a period were our enemies are emboldened by our president's weakness.

Yep...democrats are the best...first they attack capitalism and then claim the economy is thriving. "IF" things are better why then has the United States of America fallen beneath other nations in.......

Ranked 13th in the world in starting new businesses. Ranked 20th in international trade. Ranked 10th around the world in ECONOMIC FREEDOM (according to the wall st. journal). The USA is ranked 21st around the world in FREEDOM FROM CORRUPTION and 24th in perceived honesty.

If liberalism is so good for the American People...then why after 8 consecutive years of liberal leadership does the US find itself ranked 39th in the world INCOME INEQUITY? Those damn evil 1%ers on the right? Who have had the power over the past 8 years.

Why is the US ranked 169th among 216 in "GDP" growth?

Why is the US unemployment rate ranked 102nd among 200 countries?

Why is the US budget deficit ranked 192 in debt relative to GDP?

IF the economy is better off why is the US ranked 142nd out only 150 nations....in INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT? Remember the "shovel ready" infrastructure jobs promised 8 years ago if only Obama were president? Where the hell are those jobs...where the hell are those promised infrastructure repairs?

Why is the growth rate for INDUSTRY ranked 79th in the world?

And why is the US rated DEAD LAST in net trade income with all other nations on earth?

And why in the la la land of liberalism is the US ranked 79th out of 147 nations with FEMALES holding public office?

Yep...the facts reveal the liberals are doing a bang up job of helping to destroy the US ECONOMY.
