Republican
Democrat
Just wondering.
"Do not think that I came to bring peace... I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." - Matthew 10:34
I prefer parties with beer over those with drugs. What about you?
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

MMMMkkk guys.
Let's just try this.
List the parties you support in order from the ones you support most to the ones you support least.
Once you hit "Republican" or "Democrat", select that option above.
You guys are delusional.

Honestly I can't say that I view either major party with anything resembling "support".
There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.

On a purely theoretical/policy level, I identify much more with the traditional platform of the Democrats. I'll identify more with them if they nominate Obama or Edwards for President next year.
If they nominate Hillary, I'm basically party-less....
He didn't say "support" he asked "most identify with".

Pretty much the same thing ?
And what kind of support. Sending money ? working campaigns ? or just with your vote ?
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
Proving tax cuts work!
Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.
He didn't say support.
"Most identify with" just means which one is closer to your views, not which one matches them exactly and that you send money. Even if aren't even a member of either of the parties, one of them is closer than the other in views and you can "identify" more with one or the other.
He even gave a stronger view of that later in the thread. Only pretense would make one afraid to admit that one of these is closer in platform to their beliefs.

Damo I think I identify more with the old democrats just as you identify more with the old republicans.
Currently neither one yanks my chain very much.

It's strange to say but just about the entire British electorate would "identify" more with the Democrats. Even the majority of the Tory party would baulk at the religious baggage carried by sections of the Republican party.
However, the fact that there are slightly less fruit-loops in one party than the other isn't exactly the strongest endorsement.
I thought our choice was bad enough, but i'll wager you have it worse.
