Default 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for the national anthem

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is refusing to stand for the national anthem before games because he believes the United States oppresses African Americans and other minorities.

Kaepernick sat on the team’s bench Friday night during the anthem before the Niners played host to the Green Bay Packers in an exhibition game. He later explained his reasoning in an interview with NFL Media .

”I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Kaepernick said. ”To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Imagine if suggesting the president is a treasonous foreigner who founded ISIS was seen as bad as not standing up for the national anthem?

First of all, let me clarify to you sir, you are a multi-millionaire “one-percenter” just because you can throw a ball and kiss your biceps. Men like Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Oscar Robertson, Ernie Davis, and Bernard King and Condredge Halloway of my alma mater were athletes who knew of oppression. You sir may certainly have the right to sit upon your “fourth point of contact” when the National Anthem is played but never forget, you live in a nation that has provided you the privilege to have that right. DHO, don't you ever forget that you live in a nation that has provided you the privilege to have the right to believe that a poster here on JPP is actually Kaepernick. Really? Did he say he was Kaepernick? Did he not just exuberate over his body? Are you really that gullible? Or, are you just trying to pull our collective legs? I'm not sure which is creepier.

I'm a twelfth man, and I am obligated to hate Kaepernick with my entire being. But, who can disrespect a man willing to sacrifice his popularity for his beliefs? I hate him a bit less than I used to, and even a smidgen less than that because you are calling him out for taking a principled stand.

He did say Hillary would be in jail if she was anybody else. Does he lose points for that?

I think the reaction to this is ridiculous.

When some people think they're defending America, they seem to completely forget exactly what America is about.

This retard epitomizes the retardedness of BLM and the left in general. He claims the flag represents "racism" and 'Institutional racism" (a made up term that means nothing) against people of color, but can't sight a single instance, or elaborate.

Plus this once again means that Obama, and Loretta Lynch hate black people. So why do dems continue to vote dem???
