Default Malania Trump's speech stolen from Michelle's word for word.

Update: Melania Trump plagiarized several lines from Michelle Obama’s 2008 convention speech

Twenty two out of twenty six words verbatim.

Update: It appears Melania Trump’s speechwriters copied more than a paragraph of her speech from Michelle Obama’s 2008 address to the Democratic National Convention.
As Twitter user Jarrett Hill noted, Melania’s speech closely tracked several sentences that Michelle Obama used in her speech.

NPR carried the original text of Obama’s speech. The relevant section is here, and areas of common phrasing have been bolded:
And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.
And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them
    .

Below is the section of Melania Trump’s speech, as transcribed by Quartz:
From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that their only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
The original text of this post follows below:
Although she was slated to be the highlight of night one of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Melania Trump’s proper, poised speech offered no particular insights into her husband as a candidate, or a person. In fact, she was perhaps outshined by her predecessor, former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani, who energetically praised the billionaire.

She claims to have written the speech herself with " as little help as possible."

The speech given by Melania was very well received tonight.
It was very well received the first time it was given by Michelle in 2008.
Some are saying that the speechwriter purposely sabotaged Trump's wife's headline speech by plagiarizing Mrs Obama to embarrass the Trumps.

    It is undeniably plagiarism .

Of course liberal media has nothing else. Why would they report on Hillarys continued investigation?

The interesting thing to see will be how will Trump handle this. Will he deny that it is plagiarism and try to gloss over it or will he fire some staffer for plagiarism and admit that his wife didn't write the speech as she claimed.
Will he be honest? Can he be honest?
    Is he capable of honesty?

When held up side by side the verbatim nature of the copying is compelling, so pawning it off as coincidence is out of the question.
So far Trump has been twitterless about it.

So far the Trump campaign is completely unresponsive to the plagiarism issue.

"In writing her beautiful speech, Melania's team of writers took notes on her life's inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking," Jason Miller, senior communications advisor, said. "Melania's immigrant experience and love for America shone through in her speech, which made it such a success."

    This will not go away.

What is Biden the only one allowed to plagiarize?

It will be interesting to see if it survives as a story lol.

I thought I was done watching after Rudy's fire and brimstone. Maybe it was my inner misogynist, but I wasn't particularly interested [in a relative sense] in Melania's 'I'm proud of my husband yada yada' gig. But the more I watched the more I couldn't pull myself away.

She may have borrowed some lines but she nailed it.

Melania is going to be the first English as Second Language First Lady, as far as I know.

We'll learn shortly who "wrote" the speech for her. Or maybe Melania is such a politically inept lady she plagiarized it herself.

Either way, a passing blip, unless is can be undeniably traced back to DNC or RNC sabotage

This isn't going anywhere, and not least because Paul Manafort actually just got on CNN, denied there was ANY plagiarism, and then blamed Hillary Clinton for this, claiming this was yet another Hillary trick. I'm not kidding. And that's not how you put a story behind you.

    "she didn't plagiarize the speech"
"they simply contained many of the same words"
    "this is hillary's fault"
