My daughter and I voted this morning.

She wanted me to vote for O'Malley, (She's five and just said "the middle one") but I voted for Sanders.

What you have accidentally swerved into is the fact that Trump is more than just the next president. He is America's reaction and probable REJECTION of the establishment Republican Party. After, these bozos were given Congress and they didn't stop the KENYAN SHOESHINE BOY from butt fucking our economy and making us the laughingstock of the world.

Trump is as much a slap in the face to the establishment GOP as he is a rejection of Nazi Democrats.

What did the Republican led Congress let Obama accomplish after 2010 that you disagree with?

I don't know why I keep kidding myself that there is still any chance for anything other than a Trump nomination.

I feel like America isn't split right & left right now, or black & white. The split is between people who can easily see through the cellophane that Trump is wearing, and people who inexplicably can't.

    I doubt they care...

But the damage that has been done to the Conservative movement is likely going to be long lasting. Mostly I think its a good thing and will ultimately result in some long term progress on the liberal side. Maybe even more if Trump becomes President.

The Conservative movement has some positive and I am sorry to lose that at the cost of xenophobia, racism and nationalism.

Jarod, why have so many Democrats traditionally been against free trade?

I know people on both sides who like it when the "other side" nominates a lame or incredibly flawed candidate. I hate it, personally - I wish every election, we got the best that each party had to offer.

We really never do, which is a drag.

That is a good question. I believe strongly in free trade.

Its because of labor's marriage to the Democrats. Like the Republicans marriage to evangelicals the Democrats have had to make concessions to labor. Personally I believe opposition to free trade is based on short term gain, long term loss. The world is shrinking at a rapid rate and artificial barrios to international competition only hurts domestic markets.

Luckily Labor's influence is shrinking and the Democrats are having to evolve, starting with Bill Clinton's support for NAFTA.

I voted for sanders yesterday ( Florida).

It was the very best vote I've cast in decades. I can't recall the last time I wasn't voting 3rd party or "lessor of 2 evils"
It was so nice to cast an affirmative vote!
