"Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who recently rose to the top tier of GOP candidates in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, has pulled to within three points of the Democratic frontrunner in a general election match-up. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows Senator Hillary Clinton earning 46% of the vote while Huckabee attracts 43%. "

I actually liked Huckabee up til a few years ago when he went from a fiscally responsible reliable Conservative into a guy who lost a lot of weight and decided to impose draconian measures, programs and increase taxes to pay for trying to make people do the same.
I just don't trust the new him.

Political stances are never set in stone. If you aren't having some change of mind, then you likely are one of those blokes that everybody knows is stupid but doesn't know themselves. You know the kid who argues with the mathematics teacher about how he was right that x+7=15 means that X equals 7 and never gets it...

I would trust somebody who said the same thing in 1970 as they do now less than somebody who has had some change of mind. The world is different, the differences call for different positions and actions.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Anything positive I read about Huckabee interests me as he is my favorite on the republican side of the ballot, Richardson being my favorite democrat. What is interesting to me is that he is making these gains while spending about 1/10 or less of what Romney or Clinton are spending.

    Huckabee and Edwards
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.

Him and Paul are the only two (R) I will be voting for.

If it is any other (R) in the general election, I will take the opportunity to make my first ever check mark in the (D) box for pres.
