    Default Kokua Festival

Last night was the Kokua festival at the Waikiki Shell, a small venue that looks like a mini Hollywood Bowl.

Dave Matthews was playing just by himself with Tim Reynolds, and my man tore it up. He was drunk too, you could tell by his voice between the songs, but it didn't affect his music. Jack Johnson was awesome too as well as some local bands and singers. Beautiful, awesome evening. Everyone should come out for this thing next year, it was an awesome, awesome night. I'll post some youtube video of it soon.

On another note, my roommate is the greatest living thing in the universe.

Saw bands galore at the Shell '69-'71. Definately a great little place to catch some big names for free at that time. Sounds like it's stayed somewhat similar. That's a good thing these days !

I'm not dating my roommate. I would and I really wish I was, because she's truly one of the greatest people I've ever met, but I'm not dating her - her choice, not mine.

Anyhow, I'm trying to resolve the sound issue with this digital video camera she bought for the concert, and once I do, I'll post youtube shit.

This thread is useless without photos.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
    - -- Aristotle

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Is that what they are calling it now?
