I was in and out of BIDU and the etf FXI about 6 times each this year.
Most experts say they will do gangbusters till the olympics.
Warren Buffett just said it's too high for him.
I have been in China and Latin America for 3 years now. I traded into them from some other non domestic investments. Do you think they have run the course. here are the two funds i am in:
FLATX
FHKCX
Im thinking both are great long term investments and have made me great profits but china is in bubble and Latin America im not sure..
Also i would love to get in at ground of Iraq. could be next Germany or japan post ww2 type investment. they certainly have the crude assets.

Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?
OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.

I also used FXI, but right now looking more towards CAF. Currently trading at about a 23% discount to its NAV.
I got out of BIDU and put half into SETI, ¼ into SE and the rest I stuck into MAS. So far I am sitting pretty.
i'm in and out all the time!
Well the BIDU part was ok Darla, the rest I did not have a clue about.
Would have to check the SE ticker abbreviations.

Most of the expert stuff is gibberish to me anyway.
Actually It sounded good to me and i was impressed .
And still I do ok. Pretty strange huh ?
I am pretty much just moving my money to safe stuff as it is too much hassle to keep up with the day trading stuff and have enough money for me coming in in pretty safe stuff.
I have enough to get by on in as safe as you can get holes just in case it all falls apart.

My grandma used to do that. She said it came from living through the depression. She always had thousands in cash stashed in her home, in all different places. I used to think it was funny, but when I watched the aftermath of Katrina it didn't seem so funny anymore. Cash not a bad thing to have on hand.
I knew you were bullshitting too, it did sound really good but it was just too weird picturing you into investments.
I think that topspin and chapdog aren't bullshitting though, I mean why would they? Also Superfreak does investments for a living so if he didn't call bullshit on them then I doubt it was bullshit.
And for the record, I have no clue what they are talking about either.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

I actually think that SF does know what he is talking about...Chap and Top I don't know about.
I was just having some fun. I should have kept doing it, on all their "I'm cleaning up today" threads, and seen how long it took either of them to call me on it, if they ever did.
