in seattle, one of our neighbors were super christians, and my brother was friends with one of them. The mom thought halloween was evil, and a way for the devil to trick people into complacency.
My mom had a small witch decoration in her house one time and when the christian mom came by one day she saw it and gave my mom a lecture on how witches are bad lol.
Anyway she didn't allow her kids to practice halloween or go out with other kids. Instead they would like go to a movie or whatever. So my brother would always do this with his friend because the christian mom didn't want her kid left out. As a result my brother grew up never experiencing halloween
