Of course Africa welcomes China's non-intervention, it means they are free to carry on running their kleptocracies in the same old way. China is doing much the same thing in Burma and Laos.
You speak as if the west is interested in more than Africa's resources. They aren't.

What is it to be said about Mugabe that can't be said about every dictator and despot we support .. and often train at our own terrorist training camp here in Georgia?

It doesn't sound as if you are any friend of Africa .. so why do you care about the African/Chinese relationship .. other than as competition?
AMERICAN HISTORY ITSELF IS A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF AFRICAN PEOPLE. WE, ALONG WITH THE COURGE AND SACRIFICES OF CONSCIOUS WHITE AMERICANS, LIKE VIOLA LIUZZO, EVERETT DIRKSEN, AND MANY OTHERS, HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TOGETHER FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND FOR OUR SURVIVAL.

In America, rights are are not determined by what is just, fair, equitable, honest, nor by what Jesus would do. Rights are determined ONLY by what you can DEMAND.

Collectivization didn't work in the Soviet Union but the Russians lied to the Chinese about it. Mao of course killed a lot of people during the cultural revolution. America did a lot of terrible things in the past as well. 19th century America was about showing no mercy. Slavery, slaughtering Indians, crushing Mexico, and conquering Hawaii made America the greatest nation by 1900.
If we continue to have a worst record then China year in and year out by the time the 21st century ends China will truly have a superior human rights record. After all America claimed to be a champion of Human rights in 1950 despite are Nations History. America has not intention of changing course. We may get lucky that China will screw things up the future. China could easily end up with a worst human rights record then us. But right now in this century they have a better human rights record then us.
Do you really believe that America isn't a big human rights violator with century?

I am certainly no friend of the useful idiots in the West that gave despots like Idi Amin, Nyerere, Mugabe and Mobutu a free pass.

Is a baseball reference a good response to America's human rights violations?

I saw that he got to play the other day; because of the appeal.
Is that how it should be?

That is baseball rules. You can file a complaint with the Baseball Commissioner if you want. America is a much more serious threat to Human Rights then A Rod is to Baseball.

I never said that he couldn't or shouldn't play.
How do you think his appeal is going to work out?

He will likely lose. The punishment isn't that serious. He won't risk getting caught bribing the judges. After all its only 50 games.

The President has more power then any other American. He doesn't even have to seek reelection anymore. His power is equal to Congress. He controls the government agencies and departments. He can find out anything about anyone. He can do things by executive order. He may be a servant with too many masters but he also can do whatever he wants. It is difficult to control a president. Presidents have advantages. They can be manipulated and lied to but they do have real power. That is why people try to control presidents because they do have real power. They can choose to exercise real power or have others do it for them. Obama does what he wants.
