Default U.S. Treasury secretary emphasizes no federal bailout for bankrupt Detroit

The Obama administration Sunday defended its decision to offer no federal bailout to Detroit as the city grapples with the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew also made a distinction between the federal bailouts for Detroit’s auto industry and bank corporations saying those were unique situations designed to prevent widespread collapse. Lew said the city of Detroit will have to work on its own financial issues.

They are on their own folks... Obama has said Detroit made the mess and now they have to clean it up without Federal help.

If he sticks to This Promise I will be the first to say...WELL DONE MR.PRESIDENT!!

Why wouldn't I? I Split my vote consistently. I vote on Positions and Voting records not on Partisan Politics.

If someone does something I agree with I will be right behind them.. Just like I praise Carter for Camp David.

I will say well done to Obama if he keeps the Federal Government out of the Detroit Bankruptcy.

Reagan would applaud this as well...
