AMERICAN HISTORY ITSELF IS A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF AFRICAN PEOPLE. WE, ALONG WITH THE COURGE AND SACRIFICES OF CONSCIOUS WHITE AMERICANS, LIKE VIOLA LIUZZO, EVERETT DIRKSEN, AND MANY OTHERS, HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TOGETHER FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND FOR OUR SURVIVAL.
In America, rights are are not determined by what is just, fair, equitable, honest, nor by what Jesus would do. Rights are determined ONLY by what you can DEMAND.

What kind of country have we become?
One in which federal prosecutors can take “evidence” before a “grand jury,”
and that grand jury can “vote to indict” a former president for 91 alleged “crimes”?
Did the jury find the neighborhood watch clown acted reasonably when he shot and killed the thug in self-defense?
For someone who claims undying loyalty to the truth, you seem to have some pretty big blinders on when it comes to Mr. Martin. Seems odd that you would present the 12 y/o picture of him which has no relation to the 17 y/o that lost his life that evening. I always thought you were above such dishonest tricks.

They are going to jump through some seriously convoluted hoops to try to show how this stuff is connected to the early civil rights movement. They really need to save it for the REAL civil rights atrocities, like that guy who was dragged to death behind a truck a few years back.

A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
The sad thing is that this isn't about justice to them. Well, let me rephrase that. Justice to them isn't whether the law was followed. Justice = revenge. Nothing less than Zimmerman being convicted whether he deserved to be or not would satisfy BAC and Poet and I am not even sure that would satisfy them.
It is unfortunate, because in their blind hatred and stubborn inability to break from the 1960s, they are missing the racism that is being directed at their people from the democrat party here and now.
Yes, what happened in this incident was tragic and I am sure everyone wishes it could be taken back, but it was not an act of racism. What sickened me through the whole thing was the knots these folks twisted themselves in trying to paint Zimmerman as a "white" guy. They were stuck on that narrative and by golly nothing was going to get them to change it.

Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong. 34 The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the homeborn among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Really?
...the answer is found in the 27-page jury instructions on two matters: justifiable use of deadly force and reasonable doubt. Jurors were told Zimmerman was allowed to use deadly force when he shot Martin not only if he faced actually faced death or bodily harm, but also if he merely thought he did.
Reasonable doubt can come from conflicting evidence and testimony, which jurors heard plenty of over nearly three weeks.
Some Martin family supporters may never understand the gap between the legal basis for the jury's acquittal and what they perceived as the proper outcome: Zimmerman's conviction for either second-degree murder or manslaughter.
"There is a difference between the law and what people think is fundamentally justice," said Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, a Washington-based civil rights group.
Under Florida law, jurors were told to judge whether Zimmerman was justified in using deadly force by the circumstances he was under when he fired his gun. The instructions they were given said they should take into account the physical capabilities of both Zimmerman, 29, and Martin, 17. And if they had any reasonable doubt on whether Zimmerman was justified in using deadly force, they should find him not guilty.
"Beyond a reasonable doubt" is the highest standard of proof prosecutors face in American criminal courts. It means the jurors believe there is no other logical explanation for what happened than the defendant is guilty. If faced with two plausible explanations for what happened, jurors are supposed to acquit.
"The danger facing George Zimmerman need not have been actual; however, to justify the use of deadly force, the appearance must have been so real that a reasonably cautious and prudent person ... would have believed the danger could be avoided only through the use of that force," the instruction read.
Jurors refused to talk to reporters after the verdict about how they reached their decision Saturday night. Their names are being kept secret...
