    Default Expanded background checks....

Are you against closing the loophole on background checks at Gun Shows?

If so why? I cant understand the opposition to this bill, why were the Republicans trying to fillabuster it?

Do you belive guns should be available for convicted murderers and insane people to buy, as long as the purchase is done at a Gun Show?

68 voted to invoke cloture. That's close to unheard of today.

    for the learning impaired.

    there is no loophole.

the opposition to the bill is that it de facto sets up a database registry, something that is not allowed via the law and constitution because it sets up confiscation.

if you can't be trusted in public with a weapon via your rights, you can't be trusted in public.
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Sure there is a loophole, if you buy a gun at a shop, they must check your background, if you buy one at a gunshow, that check is not required.

Hinckley shouldn't be out in public. Since he is, he should have all of his rights back. ALL of them. if that scares you, then have him re-institutionalized.

I'm opposed to liberals going after gun rights and not the criminals themselves. Why are liberals so obsessed with disarming law abiding citizens? I don't get it.
Free speech is cool as long as it jibes with our program.

no, you are flat out wrong. any purchase from an FFL, whether at a shop or a gun show, goes through a NICS check. you're simply trying to hide that fact and call it a loophole.
