Default Bush: "I can barely speak English!"

From the no shit Sherlock files:

"Bush made it clear he was not planning a trip to France any time soon, but not because he can't speak French -- "I can barely speak English," he said to chuckling reporters..."

Oh, another "charming" attribute of George's. He eats hot dogs, and can barely speak English.

Is there any wonder, the "regular Joe" wanted him as President? Only elitist snobs thought, "can't we do better?"

You know what bugged me about this? The reporters "chuckled"?

WTF is so funny about having a moron for president? I find it alarming, and the proper response to bush's "joke" would have been stone cold silence.

They are probably the same idiots who gathered around on the 2000 campaign bus, to marvel over bush's belt buckle.

I can understand the "Chuckles" he may have actually been making fun of himself.

    Of course he was.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Cypress, George Bush is probably more intelligent than you. Absent-mindedness doesn't equate to stupidity. He made SAT scores that were about equivalent to my ACT scores - which puts him in the 90th percentile. He's a bit better at math than me, probably, but I'm way out of his league whenever it comes to English and such.

Bush has said he does not like to read....
Not a good sign of high intelligence.
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.

I don't believe he ever said that. In fact, I think he constantly has a book he is reading.

I saw him say it in a video clip. He was rocked back at a desk and said he did not like to read nor dwell on decisions.
He might have been Guv at that time.

I thought at the time that was a piss poor protent for the future.
