Also an historic year for extreme weather & storms.
Interesting.

"Scientists don't use "averages". Maybe armchair supertools on message boards ascribe some meaning to "averages" between two random data points. And maybe clueless amatuers "draw a straight line" through two random end data points to define a "trend". Experts don't.
They use mean annual and five year means in trend analysis. Don't tell me I have to explain the difference to you. "

Wait... Didn't the warmers tell us a while back that one region of the world doesn't a cooling make, yet here we are supposed to come to some conclusion that I suspect supports their claim that humans are the cause of current climate change?
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

yeah, I know... the one that lists the US has the 'contiguous 48' states, when referencing temps. Bad enough they try to make a story about 'global warming' by cherry picking one country, but to cherry pick parts of a country? Quite sad.
Would love to see their data on all the 'extreme storms', because that claim has been debunked many times in the past, so they clearly have new data to present. I can't wait.

First, I apologize. I'm not usually one to start "gotcha" threads, but I saw the headline, and wondered what the reaction would be if I just posted what I saw, without commentary, opinion, any reference to AGW or anything.
The reaction is actually exactly what I thought it would be, but I'm still surprised by it, which is weird.
