The fact that it could even happen is what should trouble any moral person. The fact that it could happen shows what a pitiful society you have descended into. It shows the perils of your nationalized health care system. It shows what can happen when you divorce morality from politics. It shows what can happen when people allow their lives to be run by the government.
But, if you say it won't happen again, I guess that makes it ok.

Look I agree that it's not acceptable but it was exposed by the Daily Mail and more power to them. Our Press can be a bunch of reptiles at times but they are fearless when it comes to exposing this sort of thing. I was listening to the radio yesterday and Harold Evans who used to edit the Sunday Times but has lived in the US for many a year said that he missed the UK for the sheer variety and vivacity of the newspapers over here.
