Default stand tall for medical care for all

Americans have the richest country in the world but many are now much taller than us.

There was a time when Americans were the tallest people in the world and it is no lonnger.

We continue to be the richest.

This may on the surface seem insignificant but it is not.

    Americans are shrinking.

This is a very telling measure of health and dispersed wealth.

Early childhood studies show the impact of a poor diet and lack of proper medical care is reflected in future hieght.

Guess which countries have the tallest populations?

But isn't population control a problem? Maybe health serves no practical state goal?

The effects of having a healthcare system in which many can not get preventative healthcare creates a less healthy society.

We are shrinking our ability to compete in a global market.

This is also created by allowing childern in our country to live in food insecurity and laughing it off as insignificant.

Every society's greatest asset is its population and their abiltiy to compete.

It is a whole health measure which includes more than hieght.

Our country seems to be more about the stock market than the workers/citizens.
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.

Name one that has over 20 Million who illegally immigrated without even regarding the regular number of legal immigrants other than the US...

I'd like to see if the numbers of immigrants could even get close to matching those of the US. Such a number of immigrants could most certainly skew such data.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Come on Damo... what are you expecting? For Desh to deal in common sense? For her to actually give up her chance to rant about our healthcare system simply because there could be another reason for the change in stature?

You should know better by now.

The one size-fits-all policy, waste, corruption, and typical monopoly malaise will ultimately degrade the performance of any service we try to nationalize. The insurance cartel system we have now needs to be unddone, however. bargaining needs to occur between indiviuals and multiple providers on a per procedure basis.

Waste will happen under any system.

Pretending it is the aim of any side is utter bullshit.

We have a system in which our greatest concern for public waste is involved in who profits from the waste.

The main reason waste occurs is that SOMEONE is benifiting from it.

    Follow the money.

Money gets wasted because the wealthy are finding ways to profit from public spending.

It also depends on where the immigrants are coming from. In Europe they get a lot of Northern Africans and we get a lot of Central american, Illegal or not, it could skew the numbers which in my mind makes this obsolete. I think a more relevant study would be on how much taller children are than their parents by country.
