    Default Neil Armstrong Dies

Both Neil Armstrong and John Glenn were born from Ohio, as indeed did were the Wright brothers. What does Superfreak have to say about that?

Not only that but Armstrong and I come from the same home town in Ohio, Wapakoneta. I never personally met him but my Aunt new him. She was a Freshman when Armstrong was a senior at Blume Senior High. She was friends with Armstrongs younger sister and was a brides maide at her wedding. I've also met the man who first taught Armstrong how to fly.

So why do so many ex-astronauts either come from or live in Ohio?

Don't forget the Wright Brothers were from Ohio and resided their whole lives there. We also have the second largest Air Force Base in the nation (Wright Patterson AFB). Not to mention that the National Aircraft Engine Research lab and Flight Propulsion Research Center and NASA's John Glenn Research center are located at Lewis Field in Cleveland. Ohio has been at the forefront of maned flight since literally its beginning. Oh yes, I almost forgot that the National Air and Space Museum is in Dayton, OH. Not to mention we have 6 of the premier Aeronautical Engineering programs in the nation (Case Western Reserve, University of Cincinatti, The Ohio State University, Miami University, University of Dayton, Air Force Institute of Technology).

There are exceptions to every rule... Luckily they escaped the immense sucking emanating from Ohio.

as he said, once having lived in Ohio, there is a desperate attempt to get as far away from that shit hole as possible. Space is the only answer.

They were pulled back by the extreme sucking of the State.

The University of Miami is named after the nearby Miami River which in turn was named after one of America's most well known Indian tribes, The Miami's. Ever hear of Little Turtle? The Famous Chief of the Miami's? He along with Blue Jacket of the Shawnee's defeated the US Army in it's first battle it ever fought and was the worst defeat ever suffered by the US Army at the hands of Native Americans. (ref. St. Claires Massacre, circa 1791). At that time THERE WAS NO MIAMI, FLORIDA! The city didn't even exist yet. Miami, FL wasn't incorprated as a city until 1896. Maimi took it's name from descendents of the Miami Tribe of Ohio and Indiana who relocated to the Lake Okeechobee region when they were pushed out of the Ohio valley region after the Treaty of Fort Greenville and after the war of 1812.
