It also says that there is a 58% chance that the republicans will control the Senate...

Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. LOL. I'd hyperventilate if there was a possibility of a filibuster proof majority. Even better if there was a chance for a veto-proof supermajority. Well, if it was full of constitutionalists rather than religious conservatives and the President was also a constitutional conservative...

I agree the mandate will be stricken. The law will remain but a public option will be necessary.

I agree. Without the mandate, there will be no way for the new system to work. If they strike down the mandate, they need to strike down EMTALA.

Of course, they'd never strike down something Raygun rammed through.

The good news is that we will indeed get the public option if SC strikes down the mandate.

Correct...unless you take away Raygun's free healthcare section of COBRA legislation. If people cannot get free care at the ER, they might just consider purchasing insurance.

Ironically, the insurance lobby will be pounding down the Beltway doors if the mandate gets overturned. They need the mandate.

We'll see tens of millions of uninsured people, unless we finally get the public option.

All I want is the OPTION to buy into a Medicare 'like' program. Sure...those of you who get health insurance through an employer think everything was just fine before.

Those of us who see double digit increases to premiums every year, beg to differ.

No, I didn't miss it. Nor did I miss the comment about pre Obamacare, and the 'non crisis'.

Fact is, there is a crisis. Natl. hc comes at a price. Taxes will have to be raised significantly, as they are in every country w/natl. hc.

That's why I call for the option to buy into Medicare. It adds millions of low risk customers to a system that currently takes only the highest risk demographic.

Win/Win...but mainly for those of us who are healthy, and in great shape.
