Naturally, I disagree with most of the content of the ad, but it is fairly well done. Still, I tend to doubt these issues will have much impact on the Catholic vote. Would I be correct in saying that most American Catholics really aren't that devout?

Ironic, that the Church has to stand up for our Constitutional rights because half the idiots in our country don't know they are losing them and the rest are chickenshits....
    Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.

The Catholic priesthood is very interested in youth affairs, aren't they?

It really is a slick ad. Don Draper would be proud.

    What an embarrassment.

The citizens of this country are no longer informed; they're consumers who respond to marketing. That clip appeals on a visceral level to the very worst primitive thinking encouraged by religion.

We deserve whatever the fuck we get, as a result.

I would be upset if my collection plate dollars were financing this ad when so many parishes are facing financial difficulty.

You should request a financial statement from your parish. You have a right to know how your donations are being spent.

    Isaiah 6:5
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

I left the church over 15 years ago. I haven't given any money since then, but my mother and dad are still a devotees.

They probably see it as a recruitment campaign.
