What's the most endangered species in America? The moderate majority. We're threatened with extinction from the loony left and reactionary right.

We need to reform our nations electoral system. It has become so gerrymandered that competition for office only occurs in the primaries which has forced our candidates to run at the extremes. We need to adopt something like a run off system like the two candidates with the most votes in a primary get to run for office. To often the best candidates from either party lose in the primaries because they are not popular with the extremes.

the electoral system is based upon state lines......how do you call them "gerrymandered"?.......if anything, the current system is geared toward the moderate majority, since the play is all focused on a dozen swing states which are near a 50/50 split and independents are the deciding factor........
