Percolated & drip coffee is for wimps. Boiled coffee is what real men drink.

I boil when I have to. My perc is broken right now.

With a good perc, it tastes as good as boiled.

Mainly I was being a smartass. I use a drip coffee pot because it is so convenient.

If I want really good coffee I use a french press. But the trick is the water temp. It needs to be above 190 degrees.

How is a drip more convient than a perc?

First of all, I never owned a percolator with a timer. I fix my coffee pot up the night before, and when my alarm goes off so does my coffee pot.

Plus that marvelous invention that allows me to steal the first cup before the pot is completed.

Here Froggie, I'll make dark roast in the french press and break out the good chocolate. When will you be over?

You can actually brew coffee by just throwing it in with water, leaving it overnight in the fridge, and filtering it yourself in the morning. This is supposed to be the best way to make cold coffee.

The beans begin to dry immediately upon being ground, the best effect is to grind the beans last and run the pot immediately after or you add bitterness to the coffee.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.
