starting during the reagan administration the growth of the top 1% started outstripping the growth of the middle class and has continued to outstrip the growth of the middle class by a huge amount
my questions for congress is where are the jobs and why is there a continued major growth for the top 1% way beyond the growth for the middle class
or should i say, the american dream is over for the middle class and the poor

The next 60 percent went up 69 percent.
People act as if the top 1 percent are the only ones getting anything.
Additionally the largest section of the 1 percent are dr and lawyers.
Let's here the anti ws group attack those democrats.

If you feel so inclined a comment would be appreciated.
Respect a believers right to believe, but they should damn well repect our right to challenge such utterly illogical notions.
Do I agree that the shrinking middle class is a problem? Absolutely. But it's hard to know what to say when liberals claim that "the rich getting richer" is a problem. What is the alternative, the rich getting poorer? Obviously, that would be a bad sign for the economy...
"We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power." -O'Brien, Nineteen Eighty-Four
I think the only way to moderate some of the trends on this is to address higher education. It is quickly - and before we know it - becoming something that favors the wealthy class, and perpetuates the cycle. And, it's one of the only ways for those in the lower & middle classes to aspire to the next level.
Something has to be done about college costs, period.

Time to wake up ?....
Yeah, and its also time to grow the fuck up and stop whining and wallowing in your jealousy.......
Here is a reality check for all of you pinheads......
The handsome guys usually get the beautiful women
The tallest guys usually get to be pro basketball players
The most talented men and women usually get to be TV and movie stars
Those with the best voices usually get to be the best singers
The richest folks usually get the best opportunities to make money
The fattest people usually die younger than the thinner people
The smartest people usually get higher paying jobs
Those with the most money usually have nice cars and homes and things
and the fuckin' list goes on and on.....its reality, its normal, its the way it is...
Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.
Many among the super wealthy either dropped out of college, or never attended to begin with, so I don't think higher education automatically equates to higher salaries. That said, part of the problem is people aren't pursuing advanced technical degrees. What we need is greater emphasis on things like engineering and computer science, and less emphasis on humanities, communication, etc. My ex-girlfriend got her bachelors degree in social services, made only $11/hour, and constantly whined about her $60k of student debt. I always felt like saying, what the hell did you expect? We also need to lower taxes on small businesses, make it easier to start a business, hire, fire, etc., in order to encourage entrepreneurship.

Now ask yourself why....why is the cost so high.....
Before government started paying the bills, tuition was moderate and within reach of almost everyone
Before government started paying the bills, medicine and medical care cost less
Before government started helping, everything cost less
Before the deep pockets of insurance companies, nobody got $5 million for spilling coffee on themselves or tripping on their own shoelace in a store
see a trend here ?
