And this poll clearly shows that our elected representatives are not listening to the American public. Poll after poll clearly shows that the American public wants, no is demanding, progressive deficit cuts. Instead we have Republicans says "No, fuck you" and are giving us the shaft and We have Democrats saying "We feel your pain" while they put vasoline on the shaft. Either fucking way we, the American people, are going to get the shaft on deficit reduction.

Republicans want the entire burden of deficit reduction to be carried by the elderly, the sick, children and working families.

This kind of hyperbole does nothing to help this country. People talk of the right inflaming people to the point of hysteria and what do you have here, a far left leaning US Senator inflaming people to the point of hysteria.

Well apple, if I didn't know better I might actually look at a politician's voting record as well as the words he says. Politicians have been known to give some mighty fine speeches and not necessarily following through on what they say. But hey, I've lived in Canada so I know your politicians do exactly as they say and America is just an anomoly in not doing so.
