Cheesecake Factory's skinny drinks are about 150 calories

In a nation obsessed with calories, The Cheesecake Factory — best-known for its big portions — has a new, slimmed-down trick up its sleeve: Skinny Cocktails.
Today, the upscale casual dining chain unveils plans to roll out a "skinny" line of its five most popular cocktails later this month, made with about half the calories. Margaritas and mojitos that are usually 300 calories will be cut to about 150.

"We think it could create a whole new beverage category," says Mark Mears, Cheesecake's marketing chief.

if you need to shave 150 calories from your diet, then why are you drinking in the first place? i love cheesecake factory, awesome food, excellent cheesecake, but - this is important - i don't go to cheesecake because i want to lose weight. anyone who does is a moron or is in serious denial.

I eat a pretty health diet. Lots of fruits, vegies and fiber. Twice a week I alow myself to sin. I can have a fried food meal on one day (usually Tuesdays as BW3 has half price on wings that night) and then the Weekend I'll have one sinful meal with lots of fat and meat or I'll go to a place like the Cheese Cake factory for a full out meal and be damned if I want some skinny drink!
