How the hell do you put all those names on there and miss GARY JOHNSON! Gary Johnson for President.

Gary Johnson for President! http://ouramericainitiative.com/ He cut taxes in New Mexico almost every year of his 8. He is the only 2 term Republican in my 44 years as a citizen of New Mexico. He cut 1,200 jobs from government payrolls and never fired a single person. When Bill Richardson took over in 2000 he inherited a budget surplus. Gary is Libertarian.

    From the website:

    Civil Liberties

The government should protect the value of individuals and their civil liberties. The government should not intervene in the private lives of individual citizens unnecessarily. Personal liberty and freedom from unwarranted governmental control or regulation should allow law abiding individuals to pursue their own desires as long as they are not causing harm to other people. There should be “less government, greater liberty and lasting prosperity for America.”

Governor Johnson does support gay and civil unions. However, he does not support gay marriage.

    Drugs

We advocate a “Don’t do Drugs” policy. Drugs can be harmful, addictive and destructive to our lives and society. The current war on drugs, however, has not been successful. Crime, economic problems and abuse related to drug usage are still very present. We believe there needs to be a new direction in fighting these problems. The Our America Initiative believes that one of the best solutions to help with the many problems caused by drugs is to legalize marijuana. We do not advocate the legalization of any other drugs and believe that harm reduction measures should be implemented.

    Environment

America needs to be a land with a clean environment. We support clean-air and clean-water action and believe in conservationism. The Initiative does not support “cap and trade” policies as they are currently formulated.

    Immigration

His position on immigration is just too long to cut and paste here. Go to the website.

    Constitution

We believe that the Constitution should be interpreted according to its original meaning. After great deliberation, the Founders clearly based the blueprint for our government on the fundamental idea that there must be strict constraints on Federal power — an idea from which we have strayed much too far. We believe that the proper balance needs to be restored between the different branches of government. This includes the rights of states.

    Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve Bank needs to be reviewed and managed effectively. The actions of the Federal Reserve should be transparent. Congress should take a close look at how the Federal Reserve Bank is operated and regulated. If changes need to be made within the Federal Reserve Bank, they should be made.

    Economy

GARY JOHNSON’S THREE POINT PLAN FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY

Free markets and limited government are the foundation of prosperity. Economic policy should foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and individual choice, not direct economic activity to satisfy political interests in Washington. Americans should be free to make their own economic decisions because individuals, not government, know what is best for themselves and their families. This freedom unleashes the creativity and enterprising spirit that fuels economic opportunity and an equal playing field for all Americans. (Go to the website and see the whole thing. Most of you will like it.)

Defense and the Middle East War

It is important to have a strong defense both at home and abroad. We are each grateful and appreciate those that are involved with our nation’s military.

The United States should be protected from terrorism and those that attack America should be brought to justice quickly and efficiently. The United States should be proactive in such matters.

The United State should only be involved in just causes and should not engage in or risk military action except when needed to protect it’s specific interests. All defense budgets should be reviewed and balanced the same as any other governmental budget.

Gary Johnson opposed the war in Iraq as Governor of New Mexico and believes that the United States should withdraw our troops from both Iraq and Afghanistan as soon as effectively possible, believing that neither country poses a current threat to the US.

The United States should not be borrowing money to build roads, bridges, schools and other infrastructure in foreign countries, especially when such help is currently needed at home. Non-military foreign aid around the world is something we can not currently afford.

Governor Johnson supports the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign country and believes that the United States should protect that right militarily if needed.

JUST GO TO THE WEBSITE. This is a true Libertarian conservative. I don't agree with everything he advocates, but I agree with 70 to 80% of it. I am no longer going to rule out good because it isn't perfect. I want a president that truly wants a smaller government with less interference all around. Hopefully if the federal government can do that then States will take the hint and start doing that also.

I like Johnson, a lot. Sadly, I don't see his name on the ticket in 2012.
Here lies the body of Mary Lee; died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity; not a bad record for this vicinity.

The guest worker program and path to legality for current illegal workers is going to fly huge with the conservative base.

Good info soc, I don't like everything he has to say, but most of it is pretty good. I'd settle for him, as he's one of the more electable people I've heard of.

The Democratic National Committee formally has asked the Pentagon for reams of correspondence between military agencies and nine potential Republican presidential candidates, a clear indication that Democrats are building opposition-research files on specific 2012 contenders even before the midterm elections.

An internal Army e-mail obtained by ABC News indicates that the DNC has filed Freedom of Information Act requests for "any and all records of communication" between Army departments and agencies and each of the nine Republicans -- all of whom are widely mentioned as possible challengers to President Obama.

The agencies are asked to respond to the request by this Friday, just four days before Election Day.

The nine Republicans that Democrats are seeking information on are former Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.; Gov. Tim Pawlenty, R-Minn.; former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga.; Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Gov. Mitch Daniels, R-Ind.; Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La.

In addition, the FOIA request provides a window into how deeply into potential candidates' pasts opposition researchers are looking, even at this early stage.

The request for information on Gingrich stretches back to 1979, when he was a freshman member of the House. The DNC is asking for information related to Palin's service on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council in the early 1990s, while the Pawlenty request includes his service on the Planning Commission in Eagan, Minn., in 1988 and 1989.

With billions of $ from India and China for Faux news propaganda and tv ads, Republicons could run Don Blankenship and win. IMO he is your best choice. But not without foreign support and a propaganda campaign close to the 'lets invade Iraq' level.
