Where does the saying "Piss Poor" come from?
Well...
Way back in the day, tanners used urine to tan hides. So, families would have a "piss pot" which they would use solely for urine, which would be taken once a day to the tanners and sold to them. If a family was so poor this was the means they used to feed themselves they were called "Piss Poor"... And if you were so poor you didn't have a pot?
Well then you "didn't have a pot to piss in"...
And that is our worthless but interesting factoid of the day.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.
- -- The Buddha
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

I want to know more about these 'bee-beards'.

You don't have to have a queen itself, just a packet of pheromones is enough.

Here's an interesting factoid about bees. The queen is the only bee in a hive that can sting a mammal multiple times without dying. It is also the least likely to sting you after the drones (which have no stinger at all).

The queen's stinger doesn't have the barbs that cause the other bees to pull out their guts when they try to move away from you after they sting you. The queen will usually run from trouble rather than towards it, and if you capture one will continue to try to escape. It takes a ton of messing with a queen to get her to sting you. Another interesting factoid. They can sting other types of creatures multiple times, but not mammals as our skin holds the stinger in with the barbs while other creatures that are not mammals, their skin won't hold the barbs...

You'd think that bees would've evolved a way to not die while defending themselves by now. It would pretty much be mandatory that the queen evolve it, though, because she's such an important part of the hive.

Here's the definition of "factoid"
"A factoid is a questionable or spurious—unverified, incorrect, or fabricated—statement presented as a fact, but with no veracity."
Hmmm. Worthless factoids. Yep, that's pretty much all the cons post. At least Damo let's you know right up front.
Why wood anyone want a gaggle of bees dry-humping on there face.
