    It just occurred to me that this is pretty much what many climate change zealots do as well.

    I'd agree, Tom. The climate change denier zealots don't really think things through, they just do what's popular, whatever their talk show radio host tells them to.

    Wasn't there one holding hostages just yesterday? When they act like zealots, and speak like zealots, and take hostages like zealots, it is pretty safe to say they are zealots....
    Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

    Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

    Apparently, he wasn't just Prime Minister, he was also the Nation's most perfect psychic...

    He warned Diana, Princess of Wales, against a relationship with Dodi Fayed weeks before her death in 1997;
    and

    He had a premonition John Smith would die and he would succeed as leader.

    Yet another thing that science has disproven, like climate change denial.
