Default Information becomes a Distraction, a Diversion

IMO, this is an irresponsible stance for a branch of government to take.

Information is good, even if the Executive Branch wants to limit it.

(I'll also note that while he admitted to having Michael Jackson on his iPod, he admits to not even knowing how to use even these simple to use forms of technology).
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

The presidnet has a point, depends on how you use and process that information, but it is a dubious position for the executive to be taking.

What Drudge does is put right wing, inflamatory headlines and photos on top of news stories. Generally however they link to Conservative rags as if it were fact.

Drudge is a Republican. The editorial decisions regarding what gets put up on Drudge are made for partisan political purposes. Pretending that Drudge is just a neutral and objective aggregater of news stories is fucking stupid.

Not actually. I find they link to CNN, MSNBC, etc as often as not.

Again, all it is, literally, are links to other news sources put together in a sloppy way.

They are chosen for what he believes will be of interest to conservatives, true. On occasion he has some original content, usually rumor mill stories.

I could post stories from that site, and most here would never even know that they came from that site because it would wind up being a link to CNN, or WSJ, or ABC, etc...

Much like Huffpost does. Except they do it prettier with added editorialism (more original content).

Cnn and Msnbc are fairly conservative for one thing, and they do link to them.

They pick stories they can put a conservative bent on with a misleading headline.
