Is it really going to come down to illegal immigration?

With the economy continuing to flounder, double-digit unemployment, inflation heading our way, as well as massive tax increases and more government intrusion in our personal lives, I can't believe the 'hot button' issue is going to be illegal immigration. You would think, enforcing our immigration laws would be something we could probably find common ground on, the one thing we should all be united in doing something about, but nope... Dems are poised to make THIS their issue in the 2010 elections. Siding with the illegals against the "racist teabaggers" and trying to turn this into yet another Civil Rights issue.

States along the Mexican border are facing bankruptcy because they simply can't afford the drain on their system anymore, from emergency services to law enforcement and crime, they are stretched to the brink, and have gotten absolutely no help from this administration, in dealing with this monumental (and growing) problem. What do the Dems want to do? Well, they want to grant them all amnesty and give them voter registration cards, of course! Then they will have a SECOND set of minorities to lead around by the nose ring and pay off with our tax dollars. When you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on Paul's support, and the Democrats know this.

The trick will be, convincing enough bleeding heart idiots in non-border states, to sympathize with their cause. Shouldn't be too hard to do, most states don't have the problem with illegal immigration that the border states have, and they have the national media to help spread their propaganda.
