That's speculative, but I am saddened that this hurts the American auto industry a lot. Toyota makes A LOT of their cars here.

Maybe it's just me but the bad news for Toyota makes me one happy American. Please take your cars and go home. Damn sometimes this liberal starts to sound just too pro American worker. Now we can only hope for similar news for Honda, Kia, Hyundai, and Subaru. LOL

What do you supposed would have happened, had the sticky gas pedals been found on a GM product? Do you think we would have been bombarded this way with it? Do you think they would have gone after GM like they have Toyota?

The government now owns majority interest in two car companies, neither of which are Toyota, both of whom are in direct competition with Toyota. Hello? Is it making sense to anyone yet? I just wonder what "defect" they are going to find with Fords, since they refused to accept a bailout?

LOL Maybe you miss the point, or can't think beyond your love for foreign manufacturers? But there is more to building cars than working an assembly line, there is design, testing, development, management, draft work, planning, etc etc. That would make more work for Americans. Plus the profits could support the financial industry here, you know like benefits and 401ks.

I looking forward to the day the Asian Indians teleconference law so you can wake up from your dreamland. 'You no longer needed turn on compooter.'

Oh and thanks for the negative rep, corporate TOOL.

why are you bigotted against foriegn corporations? where is your liberal mantra of the indians were here first, so every corporation here is foreign. chrysler isn't even american anymore you bigot. toyota employs THOUSANDS of americans and enables THOUSANDS of american the ability to drive great cars. it is the height of stupid xenophobia to hate foreign corporations and claim we should by only american. those PARTS on your "american" cars aren't even all from america....

you are without a doubt the biggest idiot i've come across
