Despite all the nice talk, partisanship reigns

WASHINGTON – Partisanship is reaching new heights in Washington, even as President Barack Obama makes almost daily pleas to get along. He's scheduled a bipartisan health care summit, and just Tuesday he hosted GOP leaders at the White House for the first time in two months.

But he often undercuts his overtures with his own jabs at Republicans. And there's little indication the GOP is taking his comments as anything but political.

the only people who don't see obama's call for nice talk or stop petty politics as meadowmuffins are his forever loving worshippers....nice to see folks in the AP catching on to obama's bs...i called this over a week ago

of course it is. Neither Democrats or republicans are interested in doing whats right for the country, only in doing what they think is right.
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

The DNC and RNC exist to win elections. Getting along doesn't really help win elections. Politicians all the time try and take the high road to get viewed as bi-partisan but are laughing under their breath as they say it. It's just the nature of the beast.

Obama is stupid to call for bipartisanship. Bipartisanship works when the parties are willing to talk to each other. When one party declares that it's unwilling to participate in governance, you should just end the talks there. The Republicans are taking advantage of Obama, and have been from the get-go.

No, you fucking idiot. Obama has made every attempt, unprecedented in our history, at bipartisanship. The Republicans took advantage of him. They refused to work with him, obstructed to unprecedented proportions, and then accused him of a lack of bipartisanship! It's their fault! And it's Obamas fault for trying so hard for bipartisanship, when he should have ignored the ignorant fucks from the outset. This was their strategy from the beginning - scoring political points by engaging in obstructionism and taking advantage of a uniquely bipartisan president, at the cost to the nation. Treasonous fucks are lucky they aren't shot.

Republicans need to be impeached from congress and given a life sentence for shaming the nation. As child abusing conservatives like to say, spare the rod, spoil the child. And we've got some serious temper tantrum throwing children on our hands.

Conservatives like Yurt need to be stripped of voting rights and prevented from speaking with the adults again under penalty of imprisonment. Conservatives aren't human beings - confusing them with human beings is what causes a lot of our problems today.
