    Default Shocking News

Palin is signing on as a regular contributor at FOXNews. I'm absolutely floored. I never could have imagined such a thing occurring:

Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin would appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multiyear deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person with knowledge of the deal said, though she will host a series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called “War Stories.”

Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all-encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

The deal could be formally announced as early as this afternoon. Robert Barnett, Ms. Palin’s lawyer, did not respond to a call for comment.

Palin is getting paid, what's wrong with that.

Turbo-libs might morn as this prob means she'll get the big checks and stay out of the races.

I have absolutely no problem with it whatsoever. She punched her ticket out of Wasilla and it was a one-way fare. I don't blame her one iota. She saw her chance to cash in and she took it. That's why she resigned, to get paid.

Palin's addition actually has nothing to do w/ it.

Fox is not fair & balanced. They are a conservative network.

I don't think she will be that good. She not real quick on the draw when it comes to analysis. And thank god this means shes prob not in the 2012 race.
Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?

OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.

Mighty defensive about Fox there, Yurtie.

No; clearly I was being sarcastic. I think Palin's addition is just one more indication of how conservative Fox is. It certainly isn't the only reason that are NOT "fair & balanced."

You shouldn't be so protective & defensive about them; it's just a news network. I like watching MSNBC, but I'd never go to the mat trying to say they're not liberal...

She will be entertaining and at least in the short run she is done with representative politics.

I already like the Daily show when they show that Blonde Bimbo on their morning show and the gaffs she makes, having Palin on regularly will only add fuel to the comedic fire as well as giving SNL a reason to bring Tina Fey back more often. I do, however, hope this does not end her quest for public office. I hope instead it builds a ground swell of support from the Pray Firsters and they nominate her for President in 2012.
