Default Private industry doing pitifully with swine flu vaccine

Even with the liability immunity that Bush gave them...

I just read that my county will get 5000 doses maybe by early November.
    In a county of 125,000.

The article said that swine flu is widespread in my state NOW!

Yeah that law of supply and demand works fine.
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.

You have to be out of your mind to take that kind of risk getting that half ass produced, untested shot just so that you dont get a flu thats more minor then the normal flu and lasts only a couple days.
Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?

OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.

The swine flu itself is pitiful. A virus so insignificant merely labeling it as such is too good.

I'm embarrassed that so many Americans fell for this fear mongering idiocy to significantly ignore the corporate welfare happening directly in front of their faces. I don't believe that I have ever seen a more obvious effort to make something rather boring into something "scary" than this.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is insane that there is such a media frenzy over this debacle. The swine flu is not as bad as most runs of the flu, and is not (so far) mutating like most strains do.

And yet we have these cries for the gov't to protect us. Its ridiculous. I agree, Damo. Its an embarrassment.

I've been reading more; some of the side effects can be quite serious, especially for pregnant women, and that's one of the targeted subpopulations. The good side is that, as usc has found in his state, the supply is next to nonexistent. I wouldn't fall for it!

Yeah the swine flue is no booger. I have had it. And I have never taken a flu shot.

However my statements in my opening post stands.

A poor job done by private industry. A worse job done my the media.

What was the point of the original post that private industry is suppose to believe the hype and go out and produce mass amounts of flu shots?

Look who the original author was... that should tell you there was no point. Just the ramblings of a senile fool.
