likely, but i think that some will be against it, mccain already is

still bagging on bho's handling of it is their best option...while 'supporting' the troops

i'm just curious, where did you read that McCain is against the Afghanistan war? Is there an article you can link to?

sorry no, i caught it on cnn

personally, i think we blew it by having too few troops and not enough advisers helping the farmers regain their usual crops

    afghanistan used to export food!

the war lords depend on the opium trade and are being bought off to help maintain the peace

i think we need over 50,000 more troops ASAP...like take them from iraq and tell iraq to stick it, or get off the stick

i just tried to google mccain against war in Afghanistan and no article comes up stating that. If John McCain came out and said 'I am against the war in Afghanistan and I think we need to bring our troops home immediately' I think that would definitely make the headlines. I read where he thought we needed more troops but that hardly seems like being against the war to me.

since this was a few weeks ago, either i am wrong or he changed his position

maybe it was serious criticism of the war

my main thought is that the reps will do their best to snipe at bho's handling of the war both in iraq and afghanistan

McCain changed his stance in July.
He was for the war, then against it and now he is for it again.
Bush doubled the debt from 5 trillion to 10 trillion.
    Proving tax cuts work!

Bush asked for and signed for the TARP money.
The Republican senate leader backed Bush on this.

Fair enough. Like I said you would think if McCain switched his position to being against the Afghanistan War there would be a record of it somewhere as it would be a pretty big deal if he did. Since citizen seems to agree with you maybe he can show something where McCain switched.

Thankfully I am not the republican party. I can be right when I criticize them for nation building wars and I can still also be right when I criticize folks that say that this was a "great success" because there were more panicked escapes "than ever before" after Biden set the frikin' country on fire. That some were so desperate to escape this poop fire started by this pResident that they fell to their deaths after they tried to grip onto the outside of the airplanes as they made their panicked escape from the catastrophe.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.
