Maybe you should read the article before you make stupid comments. The article points out that the federal government is not authorized to oversee transmission lines but it is the state's responsibility to authorize that.

It's a long article so I have just posted some of the highlights.

Clearly the aging U.S. electric grid is falling apart at a time when anti-human, climate doomsayers are trying to overload it.

The problem is an aging system that needs to be replaced. The story cites the failures in the Louisiana, Texas, and other places in the south as well as California. It then lists the places that are actually working to upgrade their systems. The southern US is not one of them but California is.
The problem is going green before upgrading the grid. As always Democtrats don't think ahead

I saw the other day a headline that a fresh study says that the grid needs $20 trillion by I think it was 2035 to support the the Save the Planet energy transition plans. Obviously no one is talking about how to do it, especially given the fact the economic catastrophe is almost here...there is no way that can happen.

Proof that the private sector simply cannot be counted on. Why does Texas refuse to link to the national power grid?

In fact, power companies are for profit. That means they do as little maintenance as they can get away with. They make the staff as small as they possibly can. The management is judged by profit and loss, not how well they keep up with technology. The price is as high as they can get away with.

Okay, let's assume that's all true. Then power companies are all-in for solar and wind because they can definitely gouge customers far more for that than using conventional production. On top of that, they can lie about how green they are...

Per usual, you can't get your facts straight.
The article you linked to refers to worldwide grid upgrades by 2050.

    Per usual you lied.

I never posted that the figure was for the US alone. It’s clearly stated, “worldwide,” lying pendejo.

Right. Because in a thread about the US grid, when you say "the grid" it must not mean what we are discussing.

And 2035 is so 2050. How could I not realize they were the same thing?
