Cities in general just suck. There's still a few decent ones, no doubt. Bellingham, WA is one of my favorite.
Yeah I know. The usual suspects will say they have plays, symphonies, etc. But one can always commute to those on the few occasions one actually goes to those things. Or stay overnight in a nice hotel and make a night on the town.
But in general, they just suck.
The crime, the filth, the homeless and panhandlers, the windshield washers, two completely separate laws for whites and blacks (at least in N.O. where I grew up).
And they won't get any better. Far left dims are in complete and total control of those cesspools. It's what they like.

One city Miami has a republican mayor and one, Honolulu has an independent mayor who was born in Cambridge MA, so essentially a democrat. The other eight all dems and mostly African American mayors in a "systemically" racist country. I'd also bet if you did so some research most of the police chiefs are black as well but its just a guess.
