Default Obvious what will have to happen to get the debt deal thru the House,

McCarthy is going to need a substantial number of Democrats to support the deal, which could lead to a new voting bloc in the House, moderate Democrats and moderate Republicans, flushing the progressives and freedom idiots. If it ever became a reality, Congress might just be able to just get something accomplished instead of playing to cable infotainment

Herr Nazi - you COULD just cut spending.

I know you want to destroy the middle class and massive government spending devalues the wealth held by the middle, but the Reich could back down and cut back on Quid Pro's insane spending spree.

You never mentioned reduced spending while trump ran up $8 trillion in deficits. I wonder why?

Or raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Cutting spending is one way to cut the debt. So is increasing revenue.

“However, the “fair share” crowd tends to overlook the fact that our income tax code is highly progressive. New data from the IRS find that the top 25 percent of earners paid nearly 89 percent of all income taxes in 2020. This is the highest share of income taxes paid seen in the tax data available going back to 1980. Lower income earners carry little of the overall income tax burden, with the bottom 50 percent of earners owing 2.3 percent of the national share.”

    Useless radio rhetoric

Obvious poster ^ is totally ignorant about what the debt ceiling is, not about spending, the spending was already done, it is paying your bills, duh

If you want to cut spending you do it in the budget, which is due in September

Go away until you know what you are talking about

Nor were they concerned after they raised the debt ceiling for him twice

As it was designed, by Republicans no less, and as we know from Trump, a whole lot of those upper income people don’t pay what it appears they do in reality. And now you want to hit the guy with a family of four living slightly above the poverty level with more tax after he has already paid all the other taxes other than income

Tax is a scapegoat for demagogues, the right has been pimping it for decades if not longer, no one pays tax accordingly to the percentages noted in the income brackets. Some people, again as Trump showed us, and corporations, don’t pay any tax at all, in fact the amount of tax levied and what is actually collected is laughable. It has all been a scam perpetuated by those better off to avoid tax responsibilities, as seen here by again scapegoating those with lesser income

Moderates are pragmatists, not blinded by ideology, amazing how little you know regarding the amount you post, then again, I see how it can get confusing jumping back and forth between several pseudonyms from both sides of the aisle
