    Default Memorial Day

      In Flanders Fields
    John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.
    We are the Dead.
    Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

    In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

    In Flanders fields.

Beneath each pointy hood of virtue signaling, lies a democrat that spits on U.S. soldiers and calls all U.S. soldiers baby killers.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
    — Joe Biden on Obama.

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

Thank for posting. I always thought that poem was so very poignant.

You're the one spitting on US soldiers and other service personnel, son.

Why don't you 'splain to everyone why you never served and why you hate the American military?

I'm going with stupid. Angry and unAmerican too. He's a good Trumper; hates America, seeks to see it burnt to the ground, too deranged to see the consequences and wouldn't care if he could.

His stupidity and anger says it all. Notice how he has ZERO sympathy for American war dead and no decency in mourning their sacrifice.

Fuck him and everyone like him. People like him need treatment and nanny software on their computers.

    Great poem, Phantasmal. Love it.

Sorry this thing went south so quickly, but for some people...causing that is their reason for being.

I just came back from the Memorial Day parade in our town. Not a big town...not a huge parade, but of decent size. The politicians were all there. I served on several commissions with the Mayor...he stopped to acknowledge my wife and me.

Our state senator was in the parade. I had worked with him on several occasions. He also stopped to acknowledge us.

Loved watching the kids hurry for the candy being thrown.
ON HIS WORST DAY, JOE BIDEN IS A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN TRUMP WAS ON HIS BEST DAY!

He's too stupid, bitter and arrogant to feel shame for spitting on those who gave their lives for our nation.
