Well if the Second coming occurs prior to when God calls me home that would allow for that.
But everlasting life is not corporeal in nature.
I sure as heck would not like to be hundreds or thousands of years old in this bag-o-bones !

I would say, no. I think the desire for immortality is really just a fear of death.

Perhaps immortality is unrealistic but an extended lifespan would be pretty cool.
