What would you have done? Feel free to list as many of the "number of ways as you can.... (You you do realize that there were also a number of ways that Jordan Neely could have received help over the last 10-15 years... there were quite a few people that showed up for that service this morning...that very elaborate service this morning.... that weren't there for him until today... as much as you would like to ignore this it has a lot to do with what happened that day...)

How about restraining him any number of ways that didn't involve the neck? Again, people are restrained all the time and it doesn't involve the neck. Get him face down and hold him down. Hold him around the arms and chest. Get his arm behind his back and use pain submission. Or, simply call the police and don't initiate a physical confrontation at all. IF he actually assaults someone, punch him in the face.
It's odd that I have to point out that a submission hold of that type wasn't the only option on earth

All of us know there are other
Options but all are dependent on the circumstances... at the moment he did what he felt was a necessary to protect the other people on the car as well as himself... it is very unfortunate that the situation resulted in death... a complete investigation will shine more light as to what happened and why... it's pretty obvious that no one wanted things to go so tragically that day... let's hope that New York gets its act together and starts helping the mental illness and homelessness that is out of control in their city... and we will be having far less of these tragedies to discuss...

Correct, He did what he felt was necessary. What he did was not the only option, by any stretch of any honest persons imagination. What he did also ended the life of another person. He chose to do what he did and he killed somebody in the process. That is nobody's fault but his.

Indeed.
This thug had been arrested 40 plus times, he assaulted a woman by hitting her in the face as she left the subway.
It is a failure of the leadership in N.Y.C. that he wasn’t in jail or a mental institution.
The subways in NYC are a bit safer with this thug gone.
The brave Marine veteran is a hero…except to the far left loons.
Thugs are killed every day in America by the police or citizens who are threatened and attacked.
Don’t threaten or attack innocents and you won’t be killed.
The blame is on the thugs if they are killed, not those protecting innocents.
The fact that this has to be stated is a sign of the times in this government dominated by the far left Democratic Socialists in large American cities.

It sounds like you believe he intended to kill the young man...Not by any stretch of any honest person's imagination can anyone believe that...We can only hope the justice system will not continue to punish him unjustly for what happened...To begin with, the case should have gone to the grand jury to determine how things should proceed...Politics should never have touched this tragedy...but as we saw yesterday, it most certainly did... They took over....Sadly...Democrats never, every will let a good crisis go to waste...

Top, like you, is just another MAGA troll who is intellectually impaired. He ASSUMES his speculations and conjecture on the Neely family and friends is bonafide fact. You follow suit.
Neely wasn't physically attacking anyone prior to the altercation with Penny. A trial will examine all witnesses, the full video, Penny's version, etc. All the hype, whether it's accusing Penny of racism or Neely of rampaging, is irrelevant UNTIL trial occurs. Period.
During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

Neely acted "in a dangerous and reckless manner that resulted in the ending of a (his) human life."
Yep, that's exactly what happened. With the subways being as dangerous as they are these days
(and the fact that there just might be a Marine with the balls to step in and defuse the situation),
I'll take the witness's account.
"A straphanger who witnessed the fatal subway confrontation between Daniel Penny and Jordan Neely earlier this month called Penny a “hero” for restraining the homeless man before his death.
The 66-year-old woman, who asked not to be identified, also said she’d testify on behalf of Penny, 24, who was charged last week with second-degree manslaughter over the deadly encounter.
The witness told The Post that Neely, 30, went on an explosive tirade just before his caught-on-camera death, telling people he was willing to “kill a motherf—er” and “[take] a bullet” and go to jail.
Neely’s erratic behavior put commuters on the F train subway car on edge as they hurtled between stations in Manhattan, the witness said.
“The rhetoric from Mr. Neely was very frightening, it was very harsh,” the witness told The Post.
"The witness, who described herself as a woman of color, added that she believes Bragg only charged Penny because of the public outcry.
“I think [Bragg’s decision to charge Penny] was political,” she said.
“The politicians who posted their opinions seem to be trying to create a narrative and make it about race — and it’s not about race … they responded based on feelings, not facts.”
