Most of America thinks it should be available for the 1st trimester, regardless.

There are other circumstances where women are careful, and still get pregnant. And there are many cases that they get pregnant against their will, but can't prove it in a court of law.

It needs to be legal in the 1st trimester. We can all work to try to make it more rare.

Nobody wants to use it as birth control. There are too many other easier, less intrusive methods. But there are people in this country attempting to make access to those kinds of birth control illegal also.

In my opinion, attempting to criminalize abortion is 99% a religion driven thing...mostly Christian driven.

Abortion is birth control for careless and irresponsible people, and we have no shortage of those.

If we excluded such people from access to abortion,
we'd be inflicting "unwanted status" on a lot of babies,

if that were the case, then you gave up any hope for an argument about personal responsibility in any and all matters. that person in whose body the pregnancy is happening exercised a right to choose by choosing to engage in an act that she KNEW could result in a pregnancy.
