If this was proven to be true think of the damage that would be done. Every piece of legislation he signed over the 8 years in office would instantly become void. Think of the chaos and misery the American people would be inflicted with. To my way of thinking the possible damage to the US economy is so significant that scoring political points isn't worth the cost. Once sworn in as President, the President is the President. There is no way to remove him or his actions without Congressional action as in impeachment for removal or new laws overriding anything he signed.

Let's imagine for a moment that a President's actions are not valid if it can be proved he took office through some criminal or illegal action only found out after he left office. This would lead to chaos. Any possible crime by a former President would be litigated forever. I doubt the courts would be at all willing to step into this quagmire.
