The point went two miles over your head.

I posted that in years past, previous to about 30 years ago, guns were brought to school with no children being harmed.

Try to focus on this, Anchovies, the gun used in Nashville did not drive to that school and start firing itself.

If guns were the problem, there would have been mass school shootings prior to 2998.

The first K-12 mass shooting of the modern era occurred in 1989 in the schoolyard at the Cleveland Elementary School in Stockton, California.

This started about three decades ago.

Before that, there were guns available to most people and there were no mass school shootings.
Ah, “earl,” it is not when they started, but the nearly weekly escalating occurrences that seem common today, and this ain’t the 1950’s

    Ain’t rocket Science
schools are already gun free zones...........so apparently you can't control that variable at all.
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

gun laws only affect the law abiding.........criminals will always be able to get a gun. the only solution to shootings is to shoot back.

Well, Anchovies, my point is that something is different from prior to 1990.

It’s not the availability of guns, they have been available for decades prior to 1990 when the first mass school shootings started.

Nor could Babe Ruth hit all those home runs without a bat, wasn’t the bat did it, but sure as hell made it possible

School is the target, the gun, the vehicle that makes it all possible

“knee jerk reaction,” wanting to do something to end kids getting shot in school is a “knee jerk reaction”

Guns also allow law abiding citizens who never commit a crime with their guns to defend themselves and their families.

It also allows them to sport hunt and feed their families or target practice.

If you want to ban guns, you best bring your lunch. It will be an all day job to kill the Second Amendment.

Of course the answer to school shootings, or shootings anywhere, is to harden the target. Have someone who can fire back.

Right, something is different, going to school can be life threatening, and thirty years ago we didn’t have the proliferation of guns in the society, today we go more guns out there than people, more lethal guns, and more are being produced by the hour

No one has suggested that, Anchovies.

Arm a trained adult to confront school shooters.
