Who was the Commander in Chief on 1/6, Terry?

Who was ultimately responsible for the safety of our nation from attack, be it foreign or domestic?

Not applicable here. Congress is responsible for the Capitol because of separation of powers. If Congress askes the President for help, he can help. Trump offered help such as calling up the National Guard, but Democrat congressional leaders--aka Pelosi--refused that help.

You must know better. That was a false answer.

Did Pelosi Reject Security Help at the Capitol on Jan. 6th?
    https://headlineusa.com/did-pelosi-r...ol-on-jan-6th/

Here's CNN dissembling and trying to explain away this:

Fact checking Rep. Jordan’s claim that Speaker Pelosi was responsible for US Capitol security on January 6
    https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/21/polit...ity/index.html

You'll note they make claims as to who was not responsible for Capitol security or ordering more, but never tell you who is responsible. This is just passing the buck.

Pelosi to blame for Capitol security 'breakdown' on Jan. 6, wants to 'stick to her narrative': Rep. Banks

Go ahead and attack the sources. I expect that. I also expect you to make ZERO effort to refute them.

Please remember you were defending the Commander in Chief from accountability and his responsibilities the next time you claim you aren't a Trumper, Terry. LOL

No, the C in C is responsible for defending the nation. As I pointed out, security of the Capitol building is a responsibility of Congress under separation of powers. Or, are you suggesting that Trump could just order up a few thousand troops to march into the Capitol building and take it over claiming he was making sure it was secure and safe?

So who ultimately had them surround the Capitol for months and who ultimately sent them home.

Who ordered this, Terry? Why wasn't the same done on 1/6?
