Capitol rioter who attacked police officers with pepper spray, including one who died the next day, was sentenced to more than six years in prison Friday.

Julian Khater, 33, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan to serve six years and eight months in prison.

Khater’s sentencing is one of the longest among the nearly 200 convicted U.S. Capitol attackers. A retired New York Police Department officer received the longest sentence when a judge ordered in September that he serve 10 years for his role in the attack.

Sicknick’s mom, Gladys, gave a victim impact statement during Khater’s sentencing Friday, placing blame for her son’s death on Khater, WUSA-TV in Washington reported.

“Did you feel like a tourist, Mr. Khater, watching my son fighting for his life?” she asked.
