Biden has already said, that he would not support doing away with the Debt ceiling back in early December!

And even though Boyle, Jeffries, and even Clyburn and a few others have suggested it, I don't see them defying the president.

There are plenty of areas that the two sides can work together on, negotiate, to trim the budget while raising the Debt Ceiling- The farm bill, Military spending, the Ukraine money etc.

Both sides better get used to having to work together just to keep their own lights on and keep their offices warm.

On tax forms, citizens should be allowed, must be allowed to tell their government what percent of their taxes they want spent on each Department. That won't necessarily lower taxes, but it will make people less angry about what the government spends the revenue on.

No, it would only allow the borrowing to cover the difference in the spending that Congress authorized and the income that Congress authorized. Remember Congress has already ordered the government to borrow this amount. In fact, it is unconstitutional for the government to refuse Congress' demand.
