As a neutral observer, I think the “do-over” was unfortunate but was correct. He referee was clearly trying to stop the play before it started. He could have been a bit more animated but he was definitely trying to stop the play.

The subsequent defensive holding call was obvious, IMO.
Like I said, the technicality of the rules made it an unfortunate situation, but by the letter of the law I think they handled it correctly.
Then the late hit making a 60 yd field goal a 45 yd field goal was also the correct call, IMO. Ossai is from Texas University. Maybe he saw Dallas making stupid plays all these years like that costing their team yardage and thought that’s how it was supposed to be done.
